Jack Isbell

Solar Montana was established in the spring of 2005 by Jackson Isbell, the  owner/operator.   Since then, Solar Montana has installed and serviced over 500 alternative energy systems in Helena and the surrounding area.  We pride ourselves in providing a thorough and intimate installation service for every system we install.

Jackson Isbell’s Qualifications:

  • SEI International PV Design & Installation Training
  • NABCEP Certified Solar Professional (since 2008)
  • OSCHA Trained
  • Board Member of the Montana Renewable Energy Association and Chair of the Industrial Engagement Committee
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Information Systems from the University of Montana.

Matt Goudreau

Matt is a recent transplant from Alaska and joined Solar Montana in 2020.  His interest in solar came from retrofitting a cargo van to a solar powered, off-grid home which he spent nearly 2 yrs living out before settling in Helena.  Previous work experience includes designing and maintaining cathodic protection systems, project management, and field engineering.  His other activities include rock climbing, backcountry skiing, and mountain biking.

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering w/ Electrical Engineering minor from Northern Arizona University
