Junior Photovoltaic Solar Installer

Compensation: $18/hr

Employment type: ¬ĺ to Full Time

Solar Montana is a renewable energy contractor located in Helena, MT. We specialize in grid-tied, battery back-up, and off-grid solar applications. We service a range extending a couple hundred miles from Helena. We are hiring for the position of Junior field solar installer. This position will be 30 to 40 hours per week.

SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a professional team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and genuine care for his/her work craft. Most importantly the ideal candidate will be able to maintain a high level of business ethics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

Assists with the installation of residential rooftop PV solar systems, which include:

-Working at heights of 20 feet off the ground or more

-Working in extreme hot/cold temperatures

-Climbing up and down a ladder throughout the workday

-Job-site setup, safety setup, and job-site cleanup

-Assists with the layout of the PV array(s)

-Assists with the installation of the system mounts, rails, wiring, grounding/bonding, and modules

-Hand & Machine digging trenches to safely avoid underground hazards

-Adherence to all safety standards and installation protocols

-Report any project or customer issues to crew lead

-Documentation of all job details as required

-Safe operation of company vehicles

-Load and unload vehicle each day

-Keep vehicles clean

-Assist in vehicle maintenance checks

-Ensuring excellent customer experience and interaction

-Refer all homeowner’s questions or concerns to the Crew Lead

-Must have a valid state driver’s license

-Must have a clean driving record (example- no DUI in the last 5 years)
